Tortillas Are For More Than Wraps!

I discovered Rudi's Organic Bakery's Whole Spelt Tortillas at Whole Foods today. I had such a taste for a chicken and vegetable wrap that I couldn't wait!

The product is wonderful!!!!

Later, I thought about a friend of mine who was visiting from Chicago and she had made tortilla pizza. This can be used for lots of quick and tasty dishes, just experiment and have fun.

If you don't have a Whole Foods near you, their web address is http://www.rudisbakery.com/products/tortillas

Please share your uses for these wraps on this blog.

Tomorrow I am working on a Shrimp Pad Thai recipe, if it turns out well, I will be happy to share it. If the vision is out of sync with the reality, it won't be posted.

  1. Definitely agree with the tortilla pizzas. They are a great, quick and easy to make dinner or can also be a fantastic appetizer that you can share with a couple of friends!

Not sure if you ever tried La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber Tortillas. They are only 80cals per tortilla and taste great! I buy mine from our local grocery store (Albertsons, Vons..etc) although you can also order directly from their website too if you can't find them at your local store.

They are a great size for pizza although we use the wraps for all of my meals too – breakfast (egg burritos), lunch (all types of wraps such as turkey, veggie..etc) and dinner although they can be also used for snacks (you just have to get creative).

If you are interested, we list one of my favorite recipes (Italian Veggie Pizza) on our site.

Hope you like the recipe! Thanks for great post and forward to reading more!

  2. Sorry forgot to mention that La Tortilla offers Wheat & Gluten-Free Softwraps too!

These wraps are made from Millet and Teff, two highly nutritious ancient grains that are gluten-free and packed with 15g of whole grains per serving and a good source of dietary fiber.
Available in flavors of Ivory and Dark Teff.

Sorry - meant to mention this above instead of the low carb wraps. Hope you get a chance to try them!
